Bit By Bit
Mao's back home. very weak, but i think he's a little better. he's not out of the woods yet -- not by a long shot. he's going back tomorrow for more IV therapy. thanks everyone who left good thoughts here and also those who called to check in. your concern is appreciated.
these past few weeks have been so tumultuous that until my sister emailed me yesterday, i had forgotten to tell the story of the gift that i gave my nephew for Christmas this year. it seems that he and his other 12 year old friends recently discovered classic rock. stuff like Led Zep and The Who -- bands i was listening to when i was just about his age. so i decided to put my mix and Photoshop skills to good use and i put together for him a collection of my old favorites.
here's the cover (click to enbiggin):
Jack Black never knew what hit him when i put Billy's head over his.
and here's the track listing of the two CD's:
in my sisters email she said that he and his friends love them, and that the discs are in solid rotation during the morning carpool.
rock on! it's always good to be known as the cool uncle... :)
