Spiders and Cats
last night, as i was going to bed, i used the last tissue in the kleenex box on my nightstand. so that i wouldn't forget to replace it, i tossed the empty on the floor by the bed (so that i'd trip on it in the morning as a reminder -- hey, it works for me!) and turned in for the night. just as i was dozing off i heard this loud THUMP near the foot of the bed, followed by a series of bumps and crashes. it wasn't loud enough to be a burglar, so i wasn't frightened, but i had no idea what it could be. then, i heard the sound of the phone that sits on the floor by my side of the bed being knocked off the hook. that was enough -- i reached for the light.
sitting there by the side of my bed was my kitty Joey with that Kleenex box stuck on his head. he couldn't get it off, but that wasn't keeping him from walking around the room, running into things! too funny. and he acted like nothing had been wrong when i pulled the box off.
and speaking of cats and cat toys, this has proven these past few evenings to be the hands-down new favorite cat toy at Casa de Beck. although, if i let them play with it too much longer i'm gonna need a new laptop screen.

Oh, that is too funny! Reminds me of a time that my cat got her leg tangled in a plastic grocery bag and then took off because this thing was chasing her!

My cats knock things over while we sleep without anything on their heads, they do it just to be mean. Don't buy into that whole kleenex box on my head excuse.

Ok that's freaking me out. And it's no fair, because I have literally no alcohol in the house.
