The Muscle Is In My Head

so as i previously mentioned, i've been taking a circuit training class at the gym. it's been a grueling six week course that finally wrapped up this past thursday. just before my regular workout this evening i decided to have my body fat measurement done -- to see if there had been any change over the six weeks.

now these past two months, while they've been fun as hell, have been the most hectic i've gone through in a long time. there's been camping, trips to New York, Vegas and San Diego, as well as two weddings! all of this has put a big dent in my regular workout schedule so i really wasn't expecting any gains in the ol' fat measurement.

so it wasn't any big surprise to me when i stepped on the scale tonight and the trainer said, "looks like you've gained a pound." i kind of expected it. then she did the measurements with the calipers, and guess what -- they showed i had lost a half pound of fat and put on a pound and a half of muscle! woo-hoo!

so what did i do? the masochist i am, i signed up for another six week class...

at this rate, i only have to take 40 more six week classes to lose that twenty pounds i want to lose!
