Only 53 Shopping Days Left...
as previously stated, no Halloween costume was donned this weekend here at casa de beck. no pimp suit was worn, no gallons of beer were won, no-one dressed up like Colonel Sanders. nope, we just stayed at home and handed out candy to all the neighborhood demons. it was a very different Halloween for me, that's for sure. but i did get to do that sleeping in i was looking forward to and that made missing out on the parties this time all worth while.
here was my front door yesterday after a little decorating.
you know, in nature i don't think spiders actually come in neon pink...
we did manage to make it out this weekend to two previously untried local restaurants (1 & 2) and both of them came in with flying colors -- the former having the most amazing tiramisu that i've ever tasted.
and prior to going to the latter, Erik and i found our way to Pyramid ale house after we had dropped off the girls for a shopping fix. have you ever been served a beer in a bar by a girl scout? that's what we found waiting for us when we got there. she was from troop 69 and had merit badges and everything! all the bartenders were in costume -- she's the one on the right, next to the well endowed catholic school girl and the hooters girl with the hairy belly (see below and click to embiggen)
there was a klingon too, but i didn't get a picture of him.
so, any good parties or costumes out there? Joz says she didn't have a costume so went as a blogger... :) i think that about sums up my speed this year.

Already posted my great costume idear. We went for dinner friday night and got served by a bunch of costumed waitresses, nurses, beer wenches and 80's glam rockers abound and no camera in hand....poor me.

No costumes for us this year either, though we did go to a party complete with watching Nightmare Before Christmas (the dual holiday movie) and going to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery to see the Dia de Muertos alters...soooo cool.
