The Abductor, Part II
i went out to start up the Abductor this past weekend and noticed something distressing. even with the vans low miles, i guess the years of sitting in the sun and the fact that my dad never once waxed it the entire time he owned it has taken its toll. yep, the paint is shot.
i was a little annoyed at first -- i don't want to put much money into it (after all, i only paid ten bucks and a beer for it in the first place), the last thing i wanted to do was to have to sink a bunch into a paint job. but then i got to thinking about it. who says i have to paint it white again! if i'm gonna have to pay for a paint job anyway, why not do it right and get something really cool!
so Erin and i did some brainstorming, i dragged a picture of the ol' van through photoshop, and we came up with these three finalists. and here's where you can help us out!

To stick with the Abductor theme it should really have different shades of auto primer applied only by rattle can methods. It would create a urban camouflage, making it invisible within city limits!!

My vote is for the surfer van. The Mystery Machine is cute, but I have a feeling it might get a little old having people comment on it and little kids chasing you down the street yelling "Scooby Dooooo!!!!"

I vote for the Surfer Van.
Hmmmm....the boards might pop a little more with something other than that yellow background. candy Apple Red maybe? Seafoam Green? Olympic White or Sonic Blue (two Fender guitar colors popular with surf bands)?
This is way more fun than voting in November!
