Monday Already?

yep, monday morning already. between happy hour on friday, a birthday celebration saturday, and a drive to the coast for a fundraiser yesterday, i'm not sure where the weekend went. but i have to say that i thoroughly enjoyed myself though! i could just use another two days off work to recover from these past two.

the fundraiser yesterday was for a non-profit medical clinic in half moon bay who i've been building a web site for (coastsidedocs.org) it was their annual Chili and Chowder Cookoff. mmmm... clam chowder.... seemed like they had a great turnout. plus, the sun broke through the fog making for unexpected shorts and t-shirt weather!

and then there was this guy who kept circling overhead, looking for handouts.

on a completely different note, can i just say how much i love MT-Blacklist?! according to my MovableType logfiles, blacklist has been blocking 100 to 150 comment spam attacks to this blog, my photolog and Chix's old blog -- per day!

after an especially nasty attack saturday, some of which made it through, i took a tour around the blogosphere and added a few other peoples blacklists to mine. now, my blacklist file contains 3,288 entries! woo-hoo! if you use MT-Blacklist and haven't updated your list recently i'm finding this is a good way to protect yourself. when you're on your favorite bloggers site, type "/blacklist.txt" at the end of their URL. if they use it, their blacklist will show up and you can then copy/paste it into your own list. the way i look at it, if we all do this regularly, we can block out all the skumbags once and for all! well maybe not once and for all, but at least it's a start. here -- i'll go first. copy this and paste it into the Add page of your own blacklist.

Utah Calling!

Lots of seagulls around here oddly enough. Joseph Smith believed they had something to do with a miracle - they ate up a bunch of locusts or something that descended on some Mormon settlers. For their appetite they got promoted to state bird. Tis true. Get the seagulls eating on those spam bastards I say!

Regarding your post from the other day. WTF! We aren't wearing our teeth???? It would have been better if they said something like - "a hurricane stole my teeth". Weird man. Very weird. Not limited to the South I'm afraid. I have a friend whose sister (about 50) is also a toothless wonder and lives in North Sacramento.
