Rabbit Rabbit
here it is, Memorial Day. the last day of the month. the last day of my vacation. my last day of freedom before i have to return to work. ugh. i guess taking another two weeks off is out of the question isn't it. yeah, i thought so.
so what's been accomplished here in my world these past two weeks?
some firsts:
- got to use my passport
- got it stamped with the stamp of another country
- traveled to the Caribbean
- shaved my head
- swam in the Atlantic
other notables:
- got some good friends married off
- lots of hanging out with friends in general -- both here and in the DR
- installed a new wi-fi in my house, to replace the one that died
- put in a sprinkler system, in someone else’s yard
- ordered a new washer and dryer
- ordered new cabinets for the laundry room, as well as the bedroom closet
- brought Stan the cat into the house, to try and make him an indoor-only cat
things i didn't get to:
- yard work
- getting the car washed
- going to Carnival in the Mission
- figuring a way to become independently wealthy, so that i don't have to go back to work tomorrow.
man, that last one is gonna suck.
another thing i've done these past two weeks is to stay away from my blog. sure, i posted a couple times when we got back to the U.S. but with few exceptions i haven't even been thinking about writing in mine or reading others. i didn't think i'd be able to do it. but it felt ok. so i'm thinking that since the world didn't end when i stopped blogging, it might be ok if i didn't post here everyday. maybe the quality of the posts will get better. or not -- we'll see.
and as much as i've avoided mine, Erin went completely cold-turkey. she hasn't posted since the day we left. in fact she did something that i know i couldn't do -- she didn't check her email until yesterday! 12 straight days without even looking!
ok, so that's crazy!

Hey Pete...I hear ya on the blogging thing. Mine has dropped off to posts every other day or so if I'm lucky. Sadly, I don't think the quality has improved.
Glad you've had a good couple of weeks.
If you're ever out in Kansas, swing on by...I could always use a sprinkler system!
