And.... We're Back!
just for the record, i had nothing to do with this:
AP: Haiti Recovers 200 Bodies From Floods
More than 200 bodies have been recovered in Haiti after deadly floods swept through the impoverished nation and neighboring Dominican Republic, the Haitian government said Wednesday.
holy crap! yes, there was a tropical storm rolling in when we left and yes, the humidity was worse than an Ohio summer, but i had no idea that a storm of this strength was coming until i saw the news this morning. you'd think the resort would tell us about things like this? nah...
can i just say, as much fun as this trip was, it's good to be back in the U.S.? back to showers with consistent running water, where the temperature changes from cold to something other than cold when you change the temperature control? although there are going to be a lot of things i'm gonna miss. like a Presidente draft waiting for me at breakfast, or for that matter, at any other time of the day or night. and it was great seeing old friends again who've moved away, and making new friends and seeing some of our closest friends finally tie the knot. yeah, it was a lot of fun. and i'm butt-assed exhausted.
i'll have plenty more to say in a day or two, plus pictures (after all, i got to be the wedding photographer) but today i have a date for a matinee.
hope you'll have had a good week! catch me up on what i've missed out there.

Sorry about the shower temperature. I'll vote for a Presidente draft over a Presidente Bushy or Kerry any day. Very happy to have you both home.
