well, i finally did it. after rave reviews from a photographer friend of mine, a little research that i did on my own, and then finding out that my favorite SF photographer has also joined the club, i broke down and dropped the coin to upgrade my camera to the Canon EOS Digital Rebel.
omg. from the first picture i took i've been amazed. take a look at this one. yes, i know, it's my cat Joey again. but, it's dark when i get home from work and he's a willing subject. he also knows i might not feed him if he doesn't cooperate... the picture has been sized down in order to post it here, the original .jpg out of the camera is over 2.5Mb in size! but even with the drastic reduction in size -- the lighting and detail are incredible!
i still haven't told my trusty Nikon yet that he's been replaced...

hi pete came over from kim's blog and wow that is a good camera. i think animals are the best subject to take pictures with. you can always get an honest expression from them. my cat, toby, is always my subject. :) happy photographing!!

I'm getting ready to purchase my first-ever digital camera, but I don't think it will come anywhere close to that one.
