Joy

my work-day mornings start with the alarm clock going off at 5am. i hit the snooze button over and over until it's 6 ish..., at which time i finally drag my ass out of bed and head for the shower. well this morning, at one of the snooze breaks, i looked at the clock and could of sworn it said 6:20. i'm letting out this long string of explitives about already being late for work, when Erin mumbles from her side of the bed, go back to sleep -- it's 5:20, not 6:20.

Jules - you were asking yesterday what the definition of Joy is? well THAT certainly fit the bill for me -- even if it was what you call situational Joy! :)

so that's been the start of my day -- how's it going in your world?

I've decided that situational joy is perfectly respectable, and your morning mistake is a great example. I'll assume you enjoyed your blissful 40 minutes of snoozing. Your joyful work for the day is now done.

I started my day not too well, and I wonder how do I define "start" cause I was not able to sleep for the past two days having flu and fever and was drowsy the whole day. But I still manage to read your blog :)

I just got woken up by work to fix a problem. The end of my day was not as joyful as the beginning of yours.
