this morning we drove around the lake to emerald bay, so that we could hike up to eagle lake. it was a bit of a climb but not bad. i took a ton of pictures, but since i'm on a dial-up, you're gonna have to be happy with these three until i get back. here's casey and rod, a picture of the lake itself, and erin, michelle, gerry and rod resting up.
the clouds were building as we hiked out and sure enough, an hour or so after we made it home the thunderstorm started. it's pouring rain as i type this. the mornings seem to be ok though, so banking on that, we made reservations for a horseback ride tomorrow morning.
i better get back to happy hour - it's taco fiesta night here in the tahoe cabin!
