well, i did it. i packed up six years of my work life into six boxes, took one last look at my view and walked away. all afternoon, co-workers kept coming up to me and saying, "i bet you're gonna miss that view". yeah, no shit. i miss it already. i know good things are around the next corner, but the view is one thing i'm not happy about giving up.
it should be interesting to see who ends up with my old desk though. today alone i overheard three different people laying the early claims on it... :)
on a side note, my anemic plant is coming with me. that's it, sitting on top of the boxes with a moving sticker on the pot. i rescued it from the garbage pile during our last move in 1997 and it's still alive! in all my years it's the only plant i've not been able to kill - so for that reason alone i had to take it with me.
