Back Home
no posts from me yesterday as it was an awfully long day. between wrapping up sxsw and flying home, i didn't get in until after midnight my time. and i got home to find my kitty Lucy not feeling well at all. Lu, some of you already know, is a diabetic and she hates it when we leave town. a trip to the vet this morning showed her to be anemic and dehydrated, but at least her blood sugars weren't too bad. she's back at home now as i write this, resting comfortably, but it sure isn't the way i wanted to end a hectic week on the road.
i did have another bizarre cab ride, on my way back to the airport. it's getting to be a habit - i need to write all of these down in one place...
looks like tonight will be spent putting together a new mix cd. meredith got this great idea for a cd swap of 'songs that put you in the mood'. the swap is underway, but it's now an open theme. too bad - i was thinking of a 60 minute Barry White medley, or maybe a cd of nothing but The Donna's "Take It Off", 12 times in a row... :-)
