Style Sheets Can Suck...
but then again...
the left-side navigation is coming along. i've pretty much got it ordered in the mannor of the old blog.
things left to do:
1. background image
2. tweek the font sizes/colors
3. add the old archives, as straight html. i'm not gonna be able to import them to MT, so i'm just gonna include them as they were.
4. do i want a many header image? hmmm...

settled on the four-stripe background image, although i had to do some tweaking to make it work. also think i got the font the way i want it. i especially like the way these comment boxes turned out - bright and clean! i decided against a header image, at least for now.
now to the organization of the archives!

Are you not importing your archives into MT because you can't or because it's just too hard? I've been wondering about that... I haven't even looked at the documentation yet. Scary!

i'm not importing 'em because up until now i haven't used a cms like MT. my previous two years worth of entries are all in static html pages and i don't see any way to automaticly move them over to MT templates.
i looked over the import instructions too and it doesn't seem too bad if you're coming from Greymatter or Blogger. your previous page was Blogger, right?
i have to say, i'm really impressed with the features of MT so far!

I like it, too - it's been a lot easier for me to learn. I'm going to look into importing now that you've said it doesn't look too painful. :) Thanks for your opinion!
